Reik, Havivah
(1914-44)
   Palestinian resistance fighter of Slovak birth. She settled in Palestine in 1939. In 1944 she volunteered to join the allied forces as a parachutist. She was dropped into Poland, where she organized radio communica-tions with the allies and Jewish partisan groups, and aided the escape of refugees. She was eventually captured and shot.
